"PRWeek Healthcare Conference Takeaway eBook"

Healthcare has long been an essential part of the PR economy, spanning pharmaceuticals, hospital systems, public health, medical devices and care providers.

Seven sessions. Sixteen industry-leading experts gracing the stage in New York City offering valuable counsel. Sounds like an event you’d want to attend, right?

A packed audience did just that on May 24 at the second annual PRWeek Healthcare Conference.

For those who couldn’t make it – and even those who did – we proudly present this eBook that not only captures the amazing content produced that day, but it serves as a handy guide for PR pros in the sector – and beyond.

The very first session was a live recording of the Neal Award-winning The PR Week podcast. And it featured two of the very biggest names in the industry: Pfizer’s Sally Susman and Edelman’s Richard Edelman. The absolute best way to kick off an afternoon of amazing content.

The next session, presented by FleishmanHillard and joined by a top comms executive from Novo Nordisk, focused on the evolving role of healthcare companies.

That was followed by a powerful session, featuring the head of comms at Grindr and the executive director of Springboard HealthLab, discussing the direct role comms can play in stemming public health emergencies.

The powerful combination of health champions and a strong brand narrative took center stage next in a session presented by Sachs Media, also featuring a top comms leader from Intermountain Healthcare.

Following the mid-afternoon networking break, the content stayed strong with a session focused on the road to health equity, featuring leaders from Healthfirst, Medtronic, Ellit Groups and Golin Health.

A fireside chat with the VP of comms from Planned Parenthood was up next. She discussed how businesses and healthcare operators are protecting women’s healthcare rights.

The event’s final session concentrated on the too-often unsung, underappreciated heroes of healthcare: nurses. Leaders from ConnectRN discuss what needs to happen to rebuild a safe, flexible and positive environment that will encourage the far too many nurses who recently left the profession that they truly love to come back.

A powerful agenda befitting the importance of the topic to the comms space and broader society – and it’s all captured in this eBook, which we encourage you to download today.
